Quinn Trilk is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Des Moines, Iowa, crafting thoughtful indie-pop built around distinctive chord choices, lush vocal harmonies, and deeply personal songwriting. Since releasing her first music at age 15 in 2020, she has released six singles, a double single, and the EP Pencil Filled Paper, developing a sound that draws from the rich harmonies of classic artists like Queen and The Mamas & The Papas while sharing a musical landscape with contemporary artists such as Clairo and Lizzy McAlpine.

Now 20, Quinn has also become an experienced live performer. As a solo artist, she has appeared at the Beaverdale Bluegrass Festival and twice at Capital City PrideFest, along with numerous performances throughout the Des Moines area.

For Quinn, making music started long before she began releasing records. Given a guitar as a baby, she would crawl on top of it, pluck the strings, and hum along. As a toddler, she began sitting in at open mics hosted by her dad, musician Dan Trilk. At five, her original song “Happy Birthday Fairy Godmother” was released on the children’s album Cheesy Peas. Two years later, “Aliens Are Real”, originally improvised while playing on her backyard swing set, appeared on the follow-up album Party!

At eight, Quinn joined her first band, Neon Notes, through Trilk Rock School, initially playing tambourine alongside girls five years her senior. It didn't stay that way for long. She soon expanded to drums, bass, keys, ukulele, guitar, and vocals, spending much of her childhood and adolescence playing in bands through Trilk Rock School and Girls Rock Des Moines. Those years gave her extensive experience on stages throughout central Iowa, including the 80/35 Music Festival, Iowa State Fair, and Des Moines Arts Festival. Her band Wait, What?! appeared at 80/35 in 2019 and 2022.

Quinn later studied songwriting, instrumental jazz, and vocal jazz at the School for Music Vocations at Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa, further developing the musicianship and harmonic sensibility that shape her work today. While there, Quinn performed with the vocal jazz ensemble First Take, which received a 2025 DownBeat Magazine Student Music Award for Community College Outstanding Performance.

Now, with years of performing behind her and a growing catalog of music entirely her own, Quinn is in pre-production for her first full-length album.
